Once defeated, you’ll earn the Omega Badge and unlock your Trophy. Go through the door opposite your position, Omega Weapon will be in this room. Go into the green aura just in front of you and switch back to your main party. Proceed into the Castle again and go up the stairs, this time, go right, back down and through the door, proceed around the balcony, down the stairs and pull the long black pull cord where a timer will start. Proceed through the door North of your position, you’ll then be in a small courtyard with a fountain, enter the green aura and switch to your secondary party. You’ll need to be in Ultimecia’s Castle, from the main entrance, make a separate save and proceed through the front door, go up the stairs and defeat Sphinxaur.Ī very simple fight (if it isn’t simple for you then go away and level up) now proceed through the door to directly in front of you, go onto the chandelier where you’ll drop down to a lower level. Now you know the strategy, let’s get to finding Omega Weapon. You will probably die several times fighting Omega, but you only have to win once for the trophy to unlock. Spam Omega with Renzokuken, Zells’ Duel, use Selphie for her Wall ability if you can get Selphies’ The End ability, that’s an instant win, but it does have a very low spawn rate. Using the Speed Boost suppresses Omegas’ ability to get an attack in for the most part. There is an item you can get called Hero, but for me, by the time I got to my item menu and used the item Omega Weapon had already taken the majority of my parties health. It can also unleash Gravija which takes 75% of your HP off regardless of protection and Light Pillar which inflicts 9999 damage regardless of defence. One of its most powerful attacks is Terra Break which is a severely overpowered Meteor spell that inflicts a minimum of 4000 damage on you and can easily annihilate your entire party if RNG isn’t on your side. Please note, however, even with these buffs, if Omega decides you’re going to die, then you’re going to die. In FFVIII Remastered, the developers have put Battle Assistance & a Speed Boost in place making this a lot simpler than it used to be back on PS1.Īctivate these buffs with (Speed x3) (Battle Assistance). Squall must have the Lionheart, personally I went for a party consisting of Squall, Zell & Selphie as they have the highest consistent DPS and defensive capabilities across the board. 5 Death, if your party are any multiple of level 5 then that ability will kill you instantly without having this. Make sure you’ve collected every GF, have your 3 strongest characters junction 100 Death to Stat-Def as Omega Weapon has an ability called LV. I strongly recommend you leave this as one of your last trophies you’re going for in FF8. Welcome to the hardest trophy in FFVIII Remastered.
